Universal setup

Three reliable ways to connect

Choose the method your extender supports. Button names and light colours vary, so check the label on your device before starting.

WPS button

  1. Plug the extender into a wall socket near your router.
  2. Wait until its power light becomes steady.
  3. Press WPS on the router, then WPS on the extender within two minutes.
  4. Wait for the connection light, then move it halfway to the weak-signal area.

WPS may be disabled on some routers.

Web browser

  1. Connect to the extender’s temporary WiFi name.
  2. Open the setup address printed on its label or manual.
  3. Select your home WiFi and enter its WiFi password.
  4. Save, then connect to the extended network.

Use the label address—not a random login URL.

Manufacturer app

  1. Download the manufacturer’s official app.
  2. Allow local-network access if prompted.
  3. Add a new extender and follow the instructions.
  4. Confirm the connection before moving it.

Read the product label or official manual for your exact model. Similar models can use different setup addresses and light patterns.

Troubleshooting

Start with the symptom you see

Connected but no internet +

Check whether the main router has internet first. Restart the router, wait until it is fully online, then restart the extender. If the WiFi password changed, configure the extender again.

The setup page will not open +

Connect directly to the extender WiFi, turn off mobile data temporarily, and enter the label address in the browser address bar. Avoid ads resembling login links.

Red, amber or blinking light +

Move the extender closer to the router. Light meanings vary, so check the official manual for your model before resetting.

Slow or unstable connection +

Keep the extender away from microwaves, thick masonry and metal objects. Test 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz where available.

Placement check

Halfway is a starting point—not a rule.

The extender must receive a stable signal before it can repeat one. Adjust its position using the connection indicator and a real speed test.
